My Combat Entertainer Project – Part 4

It’s been a very long time since my last post, but I have been extremely busy in the mean time. Finally, I wish to talk about armor mods and stats to stack on my Entertainer. It is extremely hard to choose and I was considering stacking them all evenly, but I felt I might as well focus on specific areas and go with it.

Because I have a pet, it was hard to decide if I should go for Offense or Defense, since my pet tends to pull the aggro from me and can be quite the meanie. If it was possible to stack Strikethrough better, I would’ve done so, but the return from it was not enough for me in my testing. I finally decided on my core stats to be:

  • Agility
  • Strength
  • Luck

My Exotics are going to be:

  • Evasion Chance
  • Evasion Value
  • Critical Hit Reduction

The reason I’m sticking with Evasion is because of the heavy AOE damage in PVP, and Heroic Instances. My top enemies in PVP are Commando and Dark Jedi. Those AOEs will destroy me. Having both Evasion and Glancing Blow have a chance to react against this incoming damage will allow me to mitigate Commando AOEs to about 88%, which is 120 damage for every 1000 damage. Now the Dark Jedi bypass armor, but stacking Evasion and Glancing Blow gives me a chance to reduce the damage still by about 60%.

Now as far as my Powerups go, I’m pretty sure that I will be going with Critical Hit Reduction. Critical Chance is very easy to stack to 80% for most professions, so getting Critical Reduction to 40% will really help my Glancing Blow stacking make a difference.

I will more than likely be getting the Hoth Backpack.

With no mods on my armor, and having only an Entertainer Buff, Medic Buffs, and my pet, I’m holding great so far in instances. The more AOE I approach, the more I could use AOE protection.

I really wish they would ad a Combat Entertainer Heroic Jewelry set, it would really make things easier on us.

This is a bit brief from what I have done on other posts, but I hope to be able to add to it in time.

  1. Very interesting, I recently returned to SWG (from before CU days *gasp*) and was wondering about the new ent expert trees.

  2. Hi –
I was thinking of going Battle ent with one of my characters – especially now there is the possibility of getting a lvl 90 droid – with all the defensive trimmings – to help out.

Will probably go Luck agi pre for armour slots – alongside your evasion exotics.

Will probably follow your critical hit red for pups – though would be interested in seeing how stacked agi does there.

What weapon do you recommend? I need to get that sorted.

I am mostly pve but would like to hit the instances too.

    Bullytt
